NHL At the Quarter Pole: Vegas Golden Knights

By Daniel Love, Featurd

All that glittered was gold in the Vegas Golden Knights’ inaugural season as they surged to the Stanley Cup final, but the team seems to have lost a bit of its luster the second time around.

Early injuries to top players such as Erik Haula, Paul Stastny, and Alex Tuch (their goalies are shockingly fine), plus the absences of Nate Schmidt and Shea Theodore, had the Golden Knights struggling early on. While some of those players have returned to the roster, Vegas has had trouble reversing their fortunes; they’re currently positioned second-to-last in the Pacific division with 19 points and a 9-12-1 record.
