Jimmy Schuldt joined some exclusive company with his assist on Valentin Zykov’s second-period goal Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.
The defenseman became the second player in Golden Knights history to record a point while making their NHL debut for the team, joining released free agent Vadim Shipachyov. Schuldt was the seventh player and fourth skater to play their first game with the Knights and he came away believing he could have many more to come.
“Yeah, I think so,” Schuldt said. “Everyone says it’s a lot easier to play here than other leagues and I think it’s just cause the players around you are so good.
