Vegas Golden Knights forward Tomáš Hertl tallied an assist in the team’s 2-1 loss to the New York Rangers at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
It was the only goal that the Golden Knights got past Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin, who made 29 saves. The game also marked nearly 170 minutes since the Golden Knights have scored a 5-on-5 goal.
“We know Shesterkin is one of the best goalies in the league. When he sees it, he will save it,” Hertl said. “You have to still find a way, but we’re talking that we were not far off from tying or winning this game.
