Jonathan Marchessault scored twice, and the Golden Knights earned their 40th victory by downing the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 on Sunday at T-Mobile Arena.
Mark Stone and Cody Eakin had goals in the first period, and Brayden McNabb and Alex Tuch added third-period goals for the Knights, who moved seven points ahead of idle Arizona for third place in the Pacific Division.
Marchessault tied Max Pacioretty for the team lead with his 22nd goal coming 40 seconds into the third period for a 4-2 lead.
William Karlsson and Reilly Smith each had two assists.
The Knights won for the eighth time in their past nine games and improved to 22-10-4 at T-Mobile Arena with their fifth straight home victory.
