Vegas Golden Knights goalie Adin Hill was named the NHL’s Third Star of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point were named first and second stars.
Hill had an exceptional week, posting a 2-0 record with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .971 save percentage. The week included his ninth career shutout against the Edmonton Oilers on Dec. 3.
“His game’s really come around. We’ve seen it in the last, I don’t know, seven, eight, 10, whatever it is, games,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said after the Oilers game.
