The Golden Knights got a chance to celebrate Friday night despite suffering a fourth straight defeat with a 3-2 loss to Minnesota at T-Mobile Arena.
Colorado’s 3-2 home shootout win over Arizona clinched a second consecutive playoff berth for the Knights (42-30-6).
Minnesota led 3-0 when Paul Stastny scored on a rebound late in the second period and added another tally midway through the third period off a pass from Max Pacioretty.
It was the first time Stastny scored two goals in a game as a member of the Knights.
The Wild (36-33-9) got an early goal from Greg Pateryn and power-play goals from Eric Staal and Kevin Fiala.
