The Vanderbilt Commodores got their 2019 recruiting class started on Wednesday night with a commitment from Joel DeCoursey, a 6’5”, 220-pound tight end prospect from Zionsville High School in Indiana. DeCoursey announced his commitment via Twitter.
Early commitments don’t always have the most impressive offer lists, as programs haven’t finished evaluating juniors, but DeCoursey also had picked up offers from Louisville and Iowa in recent weeks. He picked up a Vanderbilt offer on an unofficial visit to the West End over the weekend, and it took him just a couple of days to act on it.
