Washington (DC) Gonzaga TE Justin Ball Commits to Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt picked up its fifth commitment of the 2019 recruiting class on Saturday afternoon, with Justin Ball out of Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC, announcing his decision to be a Commodore.

Ball is listed as a tight end at 6’6” and 225 pounds, which makes him the third tight end to join this recruiting class. We won’t question all the tight ends so much, though it’s worth noting that Vanderbilt currently has six scholarship tight ends on the roster (counting Braden Kopp) and only one of those is a senior. We understand that Andy Ludwig’s offense uses tight ends a lot, but, well, this feels like a little much.
