The Vanderbilt offensive line was a problem area in 2019, but at the end of the season, you could at least point to the fact that just about everybody on that unit would be back in 2020, with a potential All-SEC player at left tackle.
Instead, after a transfer and three opt-outs due to COVID-19, Vanderbilt’s offensive line suddenly enters 2020 as a patchwork that will have to turn into a cohesive unit in a hurry. This isn’t to say that the offensive line has no experience. Tyler Steen is the line’s lone returnee who started all twelve games at right tackle a year ago, and Grant Miller (seven starts) and Dan Dawkins (two starts) at least have some starting experience.
