Vanderbilt released its weekly depth chart ahead of Saturday’s game against Stanford, and there are a few changes in the trenches that we’ll note.
For one, Vanderbilt has a new starting center this week: Julian Hernandez, who stepped in for the last few plays of Saturday’s game against Colorado State after starter Michael Warden left with what Clark Lea said was a sprained ankle in Tuesday’s press conference. This is a situation where I think the injury will ultimately lead to a long-term replacement. Warden is a walk-on who’s frankly a limited player, and unless Hernandez just can’t handle this assignment, I think he’s your long-term solution at the position.
