The Vanderbilt Commodores released their 2020 football schedule today, and Vanderbilt will play four of its final five games of the season in Nashville.
That’s the good part. The hard part is getting to that stretch. After opening the season with FCS Mercer on September 5, Vanderbilt will hit the road to play at Missouri on September 12 — an interesting change to a game that’s been in October or November since Missouri moved to the SEC.
The Missouri trip is the first of two road games in a row; on September 19, the Commodores travel to Kansas State, the return game from Vanderbilt’s 14-7 win over the Wildcats in 2017.
