Vanderbilt leads NCAA Men’s Golf Championship after third day

After three days, the Vanderbilt Commodores lead the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship with a score of 18-under par through 54 holes.

The Commodores shot an 8-under par 280 on Sunday, after shooting a 10-under 278 on Friday and an even-par 288 on Saturday. That leaves Vanderbilt a stroke ahead of the troika of Oklahoma, UNLV, and Southern Cal going into the final day of stroke play on Monday.

Vanderbilt is one of 15 teams that will advance to Monday’s competition. After Monday, the stroke play portion of the championship concludes, and the top eight teams will advance to a match play tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday for the championship.
