Three-star defensive end Jalen Pinkney announced Saturday on Twitter that he has committed to Vanderbilt.
Pinkney, a class of 2017 prospect from Norcross High School in Norcross, Georgia, chose the Commodores over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Minnesota and Pittsburgh, among others. He made his commitment one day after attending a Vanderbilt camp.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Pinkney is ranked as the No. 20 strong-side defensive end nationally and the No. 52 recruit overall in the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports Composite.
Jared Pinkney, Jalen’s older brother, is currently a redshirt freshman tight end at Vanderbilt.
