For the second time in school history, the Vanderbilt Commodores are your College World Series champs.
Mason Hickman surrendered hits to the first three batters of the game, spotting Michigan a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but then went on to retire 21 of the next 22 batters he faced. Pat DeMarco brought Vanderbilt even with a solo home run in the second, then Vanderbilt broke things open with a four-run third inning.
The final score was 8-2. Hickman finishes the 2019 season with a perfect 9-0 record, and Tim Corbin adds a second national title to his resume.
