You might have noticed that the Vanderbilt Commodores’ Wednesday night game against the Dayton Flyers will be televised on Time Warner Sportschannel. This channel is not in your cable package unless you live in the state of Ohio, and is clearly a throwback to the 1990s, when unless ESPN picked up your team’s game your options were to go to the arena or maybe your local friendly UHF channel would have a low-quality telecast of the game.
But this is the 21st century, and this is legitimately a thing:
