The Terriers spent much of the night with nobody taller than 6'7" on the floor. So when Vanderbilt got the ball to 7-foot junior Damian Jones on the low block, there simply wasn't a lot that Wofford could do to stop him. Jones scored 21 points on 7-of-13 from the field and 7-of-10 from the foul line, and also added 7 rebounds and 4 blocks, in the kind of game that many Vanderbilt fans wish would happen more often.
The script was a bit different, though, from other games against overmatched teams that the Commodores have played. There was no early knockout blow in this one.
