Shelton Mitchell, a former four-star guard who played for Vanderbilt in 2014-15, has chosen to transfer to Clemson. The Tigers went 16-15 last season but haven't played in the NCAA Tournament since 2011.
Shelton Mitchell decided to leave Vanderbilt after Wade Baldwin IV and Riley LaChance entrenched themselves as the team's starting backcourt. On Sunday, he announced that he'll be transferring to a team that has only added one high school point guard in the past three years: Clemson.
Clemson relied on Rod Hall to take care of the primary ball-handling and distribution duties, but the senior won't be returning in 2015-16.
