The Vanderbilt Women's Soccer team faced off against the UAB Blazers on Firday, August 23rd. The Commodores were unable to top UAB finishing the game down 3 goals to 1.
Under the direction of new head coach Darren Ambrose, the Vanderbilt soccer team looked disjointed and exhausted for large portions of its first four games. Poor play during a road trip to far-off Washington for matchups against Gonzaga and Seattle suggested the team was still adjusting to not only a new coach, but also to a new defensive pairing and the addition of transfers Danae O’Halloran and Kacy Scarpa.
