In June of 2014, the Vanderbilt baseball team squeaked out a close 3-2 win against the University of Virginia in Game 3 of the College World Series Finals to clinch the title. Fast forward to May of 2015 — just 11 months later — and Vanderbilt women’s tennis upset the defending national champion UCLA Bruins to take home their own national championship title.
Now, the No. 5 Vanderbilt men’s golf team has a shot to add to national championship trophy case. Under the guidance of head coach Scott Limbaugh, the team placed fourth in the New Haven Regional to advance to the national championship for the second consecutive season and for the fifth overall time in the program’s history.
