Vanderbilt Commodores women's basketball coach Melanie Balcomb will not return next season according to the Tennessean's Adam Sparks.
Balcomb departs Vanderbilt with a 310-149 career record. The career .675 winning percentage on the surface is good, but the problem was that over the last three years, the Commodores have gone 51-43 and missed the NCAA Tournament all three years. They've also had a losing record in the SEC in each year, and attendance dropped to an abysmal 2,906 per game in 2015-16.
This means that for the second time in less than a month, Vanderbilt will be searching for a new basketball coach.
