Well, that was quick.
With the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship having concluded the college season last week, Vanderbilt Commodores golfer Matthias Schwab will make his professional debut this week at the European Tour’s Lyoness Open at the Diamond Country Club located outside Vienna.
Schwab placed third in the NCAA individual championship last week, and carded an average of 70.82 strokes over 104 rounds in his Commodore career. The senior from Rohrmoos, Austria, was a First Team All-SEC golfer for each of the last three years, as well as a First Team All-American in 2016 and a semifinalist for the Ben Hogan Award (given to the top college golfer) in 2017.
