Auburn came into Memorial Gym on Wednesday night with a 10-3 record. It took about six minutes of work for Vanderbilt to hand the Tigers their fourth loss of the season.
Vanderbilt jumped out to a 21-2 lead with 13:51 left in the first half behind 16 points from Matthew Fisher-Davis, including four three-pointers, and Auburn never came within 13 points after that. Fisher-Davis finished with a career-high 33 points and made a career-high 7 three-pointers.
Vanderbilt’s offense has performed well this season, but this might have been the best performance of the season for the Commodores on the defensive end.
