Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin got a little ahead of himself Saturday on Twitter.
In anticipation of a Western Kentucky win over Vanderbilt, Bevin sent out a celebratory tweet to congratulate the Hilltoppers.
Except it was the Commodores, not the Hilltoppers, who won the game, rallying late to win 31-30 on the road in overtime.
Oops.
Bevin quickly deleted the tweet but not before several other Twitter users captured an image of it to share.
Though it’s hard to determine the precise moment in the game when Bevin sent the tweet, it appears to have been posted mere minutes before the game’s final whistle.
