You would think a game between Kentucky and Vanderbilt would scream “11 AM,” but apparently not. The SEC announced today that not only will that be a night game, it will be broadcast on ESPN2.
If you’re curious, this marks Vanderbilt’s fifth night game of the season, and the first that won’t be broadcast on the SEC Network+, ESPNU, or CBS Sports Network. Previously Vanderbilt played night games against East Tennessee State, Colorado State, Stanford, and UConn. And playing night games in Nashville in November is always dicey compared to the schools further south; the weather forecast for the 13th currently calls for a high of 60 with possible showers, and I’d guess the temperature will be in the 50s by kickoff.
