Last week’s SEC Pitcher of the Week dominated yet again in his third complete game of the year as the No. 10 Commodores took down Alabama 2-1 and secured a first-round bye in the SEC Tournament.
Fulmer’s breaking ball was working exceptionally well, especially when he buried it low in the dirt. This helped him rack up 14 strikeouts on the night, which ties his career-high.
After allowing the first inning run, Fulmer didn’t allow another hit for the rest of the game, facing only three batters over the minimum in the final eight frames. Two of those came on walks, and the last came on a wild pitch on a strikeout.
