Cam Johnson, a freshman WR from Brentwood Academy and one of Vanderbilt’s top recruits in 2018, had played in the first four games of the season and made a limited impact. Coincidentally, new NCAA rules allow a player to retain a year of eligibility even if they play in four games. Having played in four games, Johnson will now be shut down for the rest of the season.
