Everybody said that the Vanderbilt Commodores needed to add a big man to the roster for the 2021-22 season.
Consider said big man added.
Vanderbilt scored a commitment from Minnesota transfer Liam Robbins on Monday. A native of Davenport, Iowa, Robbins started his career at Drake, where he averaged 14.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg, and 2.9 blocks per game as a sophomore, then transferred to Minnesota last season, where he averaged 11.7 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 2.7 bpg in a single year for the Gophers.
The impact here is pretty obvious: Robbins is a 7-footer who’s pretty skilled and should slot into Vanderbilt’s starting lineup, which was devoid of productive big men in 2020-21, immediately.
