Shaw had a lengthy professional career in Europe and will be Vanderbilt's third assistant coach.
Two weeks into his tenure as head coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores, Bryce Drew has nearly completed his staff for his first season in Nashville.
Casey Shaw will be joining the staff as Drew's third assistant coach, joining Roger Powell Jr. and Jake Diebler. Shaw, who stands 6'11", played for Toledo in college before a twelve-year professional career that included a year with the Philadelphia 76ers and approximately eleven years in Europe, mostly in Italy. This is Shaw's first coaching job, though his extended professional career and size mean that he could be a good mentor to Vanderbilt's young big men.
