Bobby Johnson, Andre Goodman, Donnell Woolford to be inducted into S.C. Athletic Hall of Fame

Former Vanderbilt coach Bobby Johnson will be inducted in the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, it was announced Thursday.

Johnson, a Columbia, South Carolina native, coached the Commodores from 2002-09. In eight seasons at Vanderbilt, he compiled a 29-66 record but did help the school have its first winning season and bowl appearance in 26 years in 2008.

Johnson, who also coached Furman from 1994-2001, now serves on the College Football Playoff selection committee.

The 2017 South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame class also includes former South Carolina cornerback Andre Goodman and former Clemson cornerback Donnell Woolford, both of whom played in the NFL.
