Vanderbilt’s 2019 recruiting class is now up to 16 commitments.
Kendall Young, from Bentonville, Arkansas, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Thursday night. The 6’5”, 210-pound outside linebacker had offers from Arkansas and Missouri, among a host of other schools. For reference, Bentonville, home to Wal-Mart headquarters, is about 25 miles from Fayetteville. Arkansas loses in-state recruits basically never, and especially not recruits in the northwest corner of the state.
Young is rated as a three-star recruit by both Rivals and the 247 Sports composite; the latter rates him as the #110 outside linebacker prospect in the Class of 2019 and the #11 prospect in Arkansas.
