Former Vanderbilt guard Wade Baldwin IV addresses reporters in Brooklyn after being selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 17th pick of the first round in the 2016 NBA draft.
Baldwin was picked 17th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies, the highest a Vanderbilt player has been picked since Will Perdue was selected 11th overall by the Chicago Bulls in 1988. Jones was picked at 30th overall by the Golden State Warriors, who selected former Vanderbilt center Festus Ezeli in the 2012 NBA Draft.
“I think I'm ready, and like I said before, I just want to get a part of that program and see how it is before I make a bold statement like that,” Baldwin said, on his readiness to join a physical Grizzlies team.
