Derek Mason opened fall camp on Thursday with some bad news. Backup QB Deuce Wallace has been suspended for the 2018 season due to a violation of university policy.
Wallace was slated to be Kyle Shurmur’s backup. Instead, true freshman Allan Walters is now the only other scholarship QB on the roster, though Vanderbilt also has JUCO transfer Mo Hasan in as a preferred walk-on.
