Good morning.
The Vanderbilt baseball team used a six-run seventh inning to earn a sweep against Kentucky on Saturday, with a final score of 9-6. Stephen Scott’s power surge continued, with the junior hitting his sixth home run in the last seven games (and 12th of the season), and Pat DeMarco hit his ninth homer of the season.
With the win, Vanderbilt finishes the regular season with a 31-24 record and a 16-14 SEC record. That ought to be good enough for a NCAA Tournament bid, and now, the Commodores will go to Hoover for the SEC Tournament as the 6-seed and will play 11-seed Texas A&M at 9:30 AM CT on Tuesday.
