Shane Dezonie, a 6’5” guard from Jersey City, New Jersey, who currently plays at Brewster Academy, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt on Wednesday night. Dezonie previously signed with Arizona, but was released from his letter of intent after Sean Miller was fired.
Dezonie is ranked as the #81 overall prospect in the class of 2021 by Rivals and #94 in the 247 Sports composite; either ranking would make him the top high school signee to date for Jerry Stackhouse (though 2022 commit Lee Dort is ranked higher.
