The Vanderbilt defensive line added some beef on Monday afternoon. 6'2", 327-pound nose tackle Brandon Adams committed to the Commodores, bringing Vandy's 2016 recruiting class up to 10 players.
Adams is a lane-clogging run-stopper who plays nearby at Brentwoood Academy. A look at his highlight reel shows a good drive off the snap, the ability to stay low when engaging linemen, and the size and strength to eat up multiple blockers at a time.
Adams chose Vanderbilt over offers from Kansas, Navy, and Western Kentucky. He's currently rated as a two-star prospect by Rivals but has yet to land on ESPN's radar.
