LANGLEY, BC - A young Whitecaps FC 2 side came out of the gates firing but Tulsa Roughnecks FC converted on their chances to win 3-1 on a hazy Wednesday evening at McLeod Athletic Park.
WFC2 head coach Rich Fagan started nine Whitecaps FC Residency players, a testament to the job done by the club in their youth development. Included in the XI was Brett Levis, who played a stellar 45 minutes in his first start back from injury.
Terran Campbell, Gloire Amanda, and Kadin Chung had chances early but were unable to capitalize.
TRFC ultimately made WFC2 pay when Juan Caffa opened the scoring in the 39th minute on the heels of a nice feed from Christian Thierjung for the first-half lead.
