VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Monday that the club has acquired general allocation money, targeted allocation money, and an international roster spot for the 2017 season from Portland Timbers in exchange for striker Darren Mattocks.
As part of the trade, Whitecaps FC will receive a percentage of any future transfer proceeds if the player is transferred out of the league.
"We're grateful for Darren's four years of service with the club," said Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson. "He brought a lot of excitement to our team coming in as a young player.
