Whitecaps FC six-match unbeaten streak comes to an end in Philadelphia

CHESTER, PA – Vancouver Whitecaps FC (6-6-5) saw their six-match unbeaten run come to an end with a 4-0 defeat against Philadelphia Union (6-7-3) at Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday.

Head coach Carl Robinson started an unchanged lineup for the first time this season, trotting out the same group from a 5-2 victory over Orlando City SC on June 9.

The Union took the lead on 24 minutes when Bou0159ek Dou010dkal picked up a loose ball in the box and ripped a left foot strike into the far corner.

Whitecaps FC had a great opportunity to level the match on 54 minutes when Yordy Reyna and substitute Nicolás Mezquida played a two-man fast-break down the left flank, ending with a Mezquida shot that deflected just wide of the far post.
