VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday that the club has signed centre back Brendan McDonough to an MLS contract for 2019 with options through 2022. The former Georgetown University defender was selected in the second round, 35th overall, of the 2019 MLS SuperDraft in January.

- Two-year captain helped the Hoyas to three Big East Tournament titles in his four years
- Named to the All-East Region Second Team and the All-Big East Conference Second Team as a senior
- Spent junior year of high school in Germany with FT Braunschweig and Eintracht Braunschweig
- Made four appearances for the ‘Caps in the preseason
