VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that Brendan Teeling has been named head coach of the BMO Okanagan Academy Centres.
Teeling, a native of Ireland, holds a UEFA A licence and joined Whitecaps FC in the summer of 2019 from fellow Major League Soccer (MLS) club LA Galaxy, where he was the assistant director of the Elite Development League program in Orange County.
Most recently he was the head coach of the Whitecaps FC BMO Kootenay East Academy where he acted as the technical director for the Kootenay East Youth Soccer Association (KEYSA), the umbrella organization for youth soccer in the East Kootenays with approximately 700 members.
