Last month, Vancouver Whitecaps FC brought together top young players from across the club’s British Columbia Academy Centres for the second annual Fall HPP Challenge.
Close to 300 players were in attendance at Richmond’s Minoru Park, with a day of training followed by competitive evaluation matches.
“All players work under the same Whitecaps FC philosophy and methodology, which they have learned in their regional training,” noted Brett Adams, Academy Centres associate head coach. “When they come together for these events they understand how to play together, and that helps us evaluate them for further HPP opportunities.
