REUNION, FL - Vancouver Whitecaps FC acquired goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois on loan from Montreal Impact, the club announced on Wednesday.
“We are very thankful to Olivier Renard and the Montreal Impact for their flexibility and support in loaning out Jonathan for our game tomorrow,” said Axel Schuster, CEO and sporting director of Whitecaps FC.
The 19-year old Québec product will be available for the ‘Caps match on Thursday morning versus Chicago Fire FC in the MLS is Back Tournament. Following the match, Sirois will rejoin the Montreal Impact.
“We are very appreciative for Montreal’s openness and understanding of our current situation,” added head coach Marc Dos Santos.
