Whitecaps FC acquire $100,000 in Targeted Allocation Money from Colorado Rapids

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Thursday that the club has signed defender Deklan Wynne to an MLS contract for 2018 and traded him to Colorado Rapids in exchange for $100,000 in 2018 Targeted Allocation Money. Whitecaps FC will also retain 20 per cent of any future transfer fees.

“We'd like to thank Deklan for his dedication to the club during his two years in Vancouver," said Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson. "This move will give us additional flexibility as we continue to build our roster for the 2018 season."

Already this offseason the 'Caps have acquired Venezuelan international striker Anthony Blondell, experienced MLS striker Kei Kamara, and former LA Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe.
