The Vancouver Whitecaps have made it official, inking Debyi Flores to a multi-year extension after finalizing his transfer from Honduran club Club Deportivo Motagua. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, although earlier rumors had the deal at 5 years.
Flores, while raw and clearly still learning his way in MLS, showed some flashes of brilliance in his rookie season in the league, and the Whitecaps will look to continue to mold him into the player they want him to be. He's just 19 years old, so there's plenty of time for him to grow.
