The Vancouver Whitecaps have signed Goalkeeper and Victoria native Sean Melvin, and added him to the WFC 2 roster. The 21 year old spent the last three years with the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and is the first ever Vancouver Island native to join the 'Caps USL affiliate.

- Earned his second invitation to the 'Caps first team training camp this preseason, after also participating in 2012
- Earned his first call-up to the Canadian senior men's national team camp in Orlando, Florida in January 2015
Melvin compiled a 25-14-5 record while in University, including 11 clean sheets.
