VANCOUVER, BC – New Zealand football announced on Thursday that Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) left back Deklan Wynne has been called up to his country’s senior men’s national team for their upcoming USA Tour from October 3 to 11.
In preparation for their upcoming qualifying matches in November for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the All Whites will face a pair of CONCACAF powers in international friendlies. On Saturday, October 8 they take on Mexico in Nashville, Tennessee, and on Tuesday, October 11 they will play the United States in Washington, DC.
Wynne, 21, has previously made three senior international appearances for the All Whites, having recorded an assist in his debut during a 1-1 draw versus China on November 14, 2014.
