Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) completed their undefeated preseason with a 2-1 comeback win over the Oregon State University Beavers on Saturday afternoon at SFU – a week ahead of their 2016 United Soccer League regular season opener.
“I think it’s the first time we’ve been down in the preseason, and I’m glad we were down because it’s going to happen at some stage during the regular season,” said WFC2 head coach Alan Koch. “From an exercise perspective, it’s actually what we wanted. Oregon gave us a good game, but full credit to the guys.
