Vancouver Whitecaps Open Preseason with 4-0 Victory

The Vancouver Whitecaps began their 2018 preseason with a 4-0 victory over Japanese side Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, in Honolulu Hawaii.

Carl Robinson began the match with a 4-2-3-1, with Marinovic in net, a back-four of trialist Mark Bloom, Waston, Parker, and rookie Justin Fiddes, Mexican newcomer Efrain Juarez paired with Teibert as holding midfielders, and an attacking group of Techera, Mezquida, Shea, and new striker Kei Kamara.

No surprise that set-pieces were a key component in this match. In the first half, Tim Parker had a brace, scoring a header off of Cristian Techera’s free kick and then off Nicolas Mezquida’s corner kick.
