Well that is it. The 'Caps have been eliminated from MLS playoff contention. The only carrot left for themto chase is the Cascadian Cup, where they will need to beat Portland by three goals to win it. Another big ask with a slim chance of success.
Sunday's game started briskly for the 'Caps as they were quick to get chances on the Seattle goal. After 10 minutes Seattle began to get their footing and were able to get in the way of much of Vancouver's forward movement. Alphonso Davies played exceptionally well in the first half as he was up and down his side of the pitch, made some nice tackles to win back the ball, placed a dangerous shot on goal and became a persistent thorn in Seattle's side.
