Coming off a 1-0 victory over DC United last week, the Vancouver Whitecaps were looking to continue their forward moment with a strong showing at San Jose. The Earthquakes seemed prime for the picking as they were winless in their last four, including three straight losses. However, the Caps new slogan might have to be: “Whitecaps, the cure for whatever ails you!”
In their previous matchup, San Jose set the record for most shots in a match. Not to be outdone in front of their home fans, San Jose decided to set the record again…only this time, 2/3 of the way through the match.
